The British Board of Film Classification today issued a 12A rating for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.
It was given this rating for "moderate fantasy violence and threat".
A run time is also listed for the film: 145 minutes and 53 seconds. This is in line with the run time seen earlier this week on IMAX's website.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 also received a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Assocation of America which was later updated with another reason for brief sensuality.
It has this rating for "some sequences of intense action violence,frightening images and brief sensuality."
Deathly Hallows is the third film to be rated PG-13. Fans were surprised when Half-Blood Prince was rated PG after Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix were rated PG-13.
